1014 is excited to welcome Kathrin DiPaola to the team as the new Creative Director as of April 1st!

Meet Kathrin DiPaola (she/her)! Coming to us with a longstanding  trans-Atlantic academic and professional experience, Kathrin combines creativity with critical thinking in a way that makes her an exciting addition to our team and our space for ideas.

Trained in cultural studies, she earned her B.A. in German and American Studies from the University of Regensburg, an M.A. from Arizona State University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland. Her diverse career spans multiple fields, with roles in literature, art, consulting, business, and architecture across both the U.S. and Europe. Throughout her work, she’s always maintained an interdisciplinary approach, bringing a fresh perspective to everything she touches.

When asked why 1014 felt like the right fit, Kathrin shared that she has long admired the organization for its unique ability to address global topics across various platforms in new and creative ways.

Outside of work, Kathrin enjoys traveling, meeting new people (and old friends), and unwinding with a well-crafted dirty martini. She believes in living a balanced life where intellectual curiosity meets personal fun, and she brings that positive energy and enthusiasm to everything she does at 1014.
